Here's a beautiful example of why one needs to be very careful when downloading and installing software nowadays. (And avoid Download.com like the plague)
I used to recommend Filehippo.com for most common downloads but even they've started adding an optional "download manager" on some pages. (If you're careful about that, it's still a good source).
